Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have a catalogue? – No. All our products are online and our web page will be updated immediately when a new product is available. All our products have pictures and a full description.
Do you have a shop premises? – No. By doing business solely online it allows us to keep costs down so that our customers can enjoy good quality products at very keen prices.
What is Registration? – Registration is a requirement if you are purchasing goods, it records your e-mail address so that we can contact you regarding your order should the need arise. You will also receive confirmation of your order via e-mail and if you have opted to receive updates on new products this too will be conveyed via e-mail.
What do I do if I forget my password? – Don’t worry, just click the ‘Forgot your password’ button at the login stage and we will email your pasword to your registered email address.
What do I enter for Zip Code and State? – Generally Zip Codes are not used in Ireland at present, so just enter 00 for the Zip Code and leave ‘State’ blank if these options do not apply to you. Zip Code and State name is an absolute requirement for our US customer.
If and item is temporarily out of stock orif I need a large amountcan I back order the product? – Yes you can. We would suggest that you e-mail us before you place your order and we will let you know when your required amount would ship. If the time scale is suitable for you then you can place the order and we will get to work straight away.
How do I pay for my purchase? – We use a secure connection to a PayPal account to receive payments. After you have selected the item/s you wish to purchase, click on the PayPal button and you will be prompted to go into your existing PayPal account if you have one, if not, you can set one up at that stage. You then choose whether you wish to pay by credit card, debit card, bank account or PayPal balance. When you click ‘Send’ your payment has been made to PayPal and they in turn pass it on to Tae Pot Tillies.
Is it safe to use my credit card to purchase goods on your site? – Yes, absolutely. Your credit card details or financial information go direct to PayPal and they in turn make the payment to us. PayPal does not reveal your financial information to us and so we do not store this information on our site. We have chosen this payment method because it allows us to provide you, the customer, maximum security concerning your financial information when you shop with us.
Can I purchase an item and have it sent to a different address as a gift? – Sure you can. If the billing address and the shipping address is in the same country you will process your order fully through PayPal. This is our preferred method of payment.
Can I purchase and item and have it sent as a gift to an address in a different country? – Yes this can be done and it is the only time payment is not paid through PayPal. You place your order as usual and choose to pay by ‘Bank Draft in Euros’. Your order will be processed by us and on receipt of the Bank Draft it will be shipped in the usual way.
Why is economy postage not an option for countries outside Ireland? – Standard Postage does not allow items to countries other than Ireland to be tracked. We feel that tracking is important to our customers so we have chosen Registered Post for security, tracking and faster delivery times.
Do you ship outside of Ireland? – Yes. The table below gives cost up to 2kg and if an order weights more the order will be split and posted in separate packets in order to keep shipping cost to a minimum for our customers.

Will I be able to track my order in the post? – Yes you will. We will e-mail you your purchase tracking number and confirmation that your order has been shipped. The e-mail will also include the following link
www.anpost.iepersonal/personal_postalservices.html to our postal service web site so that you can track you package as it wings its way to you. Check out our section on shipping information for details of shipping costs.
What do I do if the goods are damaged? – If the goods arrive damaged, please contact us immediately at caroline@taepottillies.com to let us know and then return the goods to us. We will replace the damaged goods and refund you the cost of returning the damaged goods to us.
Can I get a refund if I am not happy? - Yes. If you are not satisfied with your purchase we will offer you an exchange or a refund if you return the goods in the original condition within 14 days. The customer will incur the postage fees and the safe return of the goods is also the responsibility of the customer. The post office will give you a “Certificate of Posting” if you request it, there is no charge for the certificate. This certificate allows you some protection in the event that the package/parcel goes missing en-route to us and we strongly recommend that you obtain a certificate of posting prior to posting any returns.
Having paid through PayPal how do I get my refund if I am due one? – If a refund is necessary, it will be done through whatever method payment was received. (e.g. if your payment was made using a credit card the refund will be paid back to your credit card.
